Description
This REA Railway Express Agency Troop Car is a custom-designed and 3D printed G scale piece of rolling stock. These were predominantly used for troop transportation in WWII, later converted for REA use and ran on many various railroads as needed.
It was based off of blueprints for the longer wheel based version. The prototype was originally designed for the Erie railroad, but the Conrail as well as the Wellsville, Addison, & Galeton also used it.
Included with the kit is the main shell and roof which is pinned together to make them easy to align. It is designed to work with a USA trains box car chassis.
All that is needed to complete it is said chassis, decals; a fresh coat of paint, as well as some finish drilling, sanding, or filling. I find that a 1/16″ drill bit is very helpful in drilling out the alignment holes. It is 3D printed using generic PLA filament in several pieces as can be seen in the pictures. **Disclosure: unless requested and agreed upon the color may vary depending upon what filament I have in stock**
They will be printed once the order is placed, I will do my best to still get them out within 10 days, but it may take longer. I will do my best to keep you updated and work through the orders as quickly as possible.
